Sonali Thakore – Co-Founder & Whole-Time Director

Sonali Thakore is Co-Founder and Whole Time Director of E-Factor Experiences Ltd. Over more than 25 years, she has helped shape the company’s creative ethos, direction and capabilities, while working across an unusually diverse spectrum of projects, scales and formats.

A defining strength is her ability to translate abstract ideas into tangible outcomes. Her expertise spans conceptualisation, curation, storytelling, creative direction, spatial thinking and multidisciplinary ideation. Detail-driven, intuitive and future-focused, she has contributed to expanding E-Factor’s creative capabilities into new formats and disciplines across complex government and private-sector projects in India and internationally.

Her body of work reflects this diversity – from large-scale national and international events, museums and interpretation centres, permanent light & sound and multimedia experiences to cultural and tourism initiatives, festivals, destination development, public installations, landmark weddings and private celebrations.

Key projects include the Permanent Multimedia Light & Sound Shows at the Gateway of India and Golconda Fort; Indian Navy Day; Mahaparyatan Utsav, Mahabaleshwar; Nashik Eco Glamping; International Ganesha Festival; Shivneri Festival; Vikram Kirti Mandir Museum; VOC Maritime Heritage Museum, Toothukudi; and a series of permanent public installations in Ghaziabad.

Her creative thinking is rooted in a nuanced understanding of culture, aesthetics and human behaviour, bringing intuition and clarity to projects that are often layered and complex. She has an instinct for the larger possibility while remaining deeply attentive to the details that ultimately define the outcome.

Collaboration is integral to the way she creates. Over the years, Sonali has worked alongside architects, artists, designers, curators, historians, writers, filmmakers, performers, craftspeople, technical specialists and production professionals, as well as experts and creative collaborators from India and overseas. Her ability to bring diverse disciplines and perspectives together around a singular creative vision has remained central to her approach.

Sonali is an alumna of Delhi University and holds a degree in Advertising and Public Relations.
